About The Event
As a new emerging technology, blockchain is undoubtedly the most eye-catching topic at present. Its decentralized, tamper-proof and distributed storing technologies will revolutionize the traditional internet and the centralized operation pattern. As several industries and fields have already begun to study and explore the application of blockchain technology, a technological revolution is taking place in silence. If you still think you are a vehicle expert who just do not know much about blockchain technology, we can assure you that in five years you will be phased out of the automotive electronics industry.
The automobile industry is among industries that are mostly likely to take advantage of the blockchain technology. World’s top carmakers have already begun their own explorations: Daimler, the German carmaker, issued its own digital currency at the World Congress on Mobile Communications in Barcelona; BMW announced the development of blockchain technology to track mileages of rented cars; Porsche has publicly announced that it has started testing blockchain based applications on its cars; and Ford has issued a new patent, using blockchain technology to achieve vehicle-to-vehicle communication.
Organized by NürnbergMesse China, YUTU and a number of influential investment agencies, the forum with the topic of “Blockchain Technology Brings Revolution to the Auto Industry Chain” will kick off in Shanghai on October 24. The forum will be held in conjunction with FUMOTec and EVTec in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center and will be China’s only international “seminar+exhibition” service platform which focuses on exploring solutions for NEV technologies and production.
Founded by Ansel Qi, former executive from Alibaba, YUTU now serves more than 60 million users and has developed global blockchain public chain technology. The forum will help car developers understand how blockchain technology can be applied in supply chain, automotive electronics and future onboard infotainment systems. The forum will also dive into different vehicle safety applications and what challenges and opportunities that blockchain technology will bring to the global auto industry and its peripheral industries. Mr. Xiaochen Zhang, founder of FinTech4Good, member of UN ESCAP digital economy task force, will deliver a keynote speech at the forum. A chief professor from Germany who specializes in blockchain will also be invited to make his debut in China and share his thoughts on blockchain-based tracking and analysis of global vehicle data. He will also share with the audience about the progress and trend of blockchain technology in the European automobile industry.
