15 Members were Elected to Serve for 2 Years on the Executive Council of the United Nations ESCAP Su

Bangkok, Thailand, December, 4th, 2018 – Consisting of executives and representatives of leading businesses in a wide range of industries and sectors from across the Asia-Pacific region, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (U.N. ESCAP) Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) is set up to drive businesses in working towards the 2030 Sustainable Agenda and associated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The ESBN actively engages in promoting inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development through public-private partnerships, launching, and implementing activities and projects to enable the adoption, practice, and implementation of SDGs, particularly those in relation to their Task Forces (Detailed Member List at: https://esbn.unescap.org/members). The Executive Council consists of 15 ESBN members, elected for 2 years, and represents a mix of larger business, business associations as well as different sectors and geographies. Its main role is to provide vision and guidance for the work of ESBN.

By joining hands with other business leaders who shared the same vision, I will have the privilege to contributing strategically to ESBN’s mission by leveraging some the most exciting technological innovations such as blockchain, FinTech and other emerging technologies and addressing some of the most daunting challenges in the years to come.”
